The story behind your table:
The Silver Maple was located in the hills of Berks County, PA. The ancient Silver Maple tree was a 6 foot diameter, completely hallowed out trunk which you could crawl through. The unique trunk was completely spiraled from one end to the other, resulting in the rippled edges seen on the table. The table was cut off the edge of the log. It was in an advanced stage of decay when slabbed in 2017. After sanding, shaping, and absorbing 9 gallons of premium casting epoxy a final layer of high scratch resistant, fine textured epoxy finished this masterpiece.
Drying process:
Your wood was air dried until reaching 17-21% moisture content at which time it was professionally kiln dried to 10-12% moisture. It is extremely stable.
Shipping:
Your table will be professionally crated and shipped within 21 days of placing your order. It will arrive at your doorstep or place of business utilizing a truck with a lift gate and will require two adults to lift and move.
